Science begins with helping the students to focus on asking the right questions. Applying the processes of scientific inquiry, students look to better understand the planet, its workings and their place within it. Through applying ideas and collecting evidence, the students gain an appreciation for the complexity of things and begin to see the way in which scientific knowledge is contestable, a dialogue that they can actively contribute to. Through the Science course the students get to investigate the inner workings of the world’s systems and apply this understanding to solving some of the its most complicated problems through critical thinking.
